Short Description
The Formax 301 is a compact, single-spring elastomer bellows mechanical seal offered as a replacement for selected EagleBurgmann BT-AR configurations.
Its single-seal, unbalanced design operates independently of shaft rotation direction.

The 301 mechanical seal uses a rotating elastomer bellows and a single spring to maintain contact between the seal faces. The bellows provides secondary sealing and transmits torque to the rotating assembly, while its flexibility allows limited movement of the rotating seal face.
The compact, unitised rotating assembly simplifies handling and installation in compatible equipment. Selection should consider the shaft diameter, stationary seat dimensions, installed working height and material combination.
